Atlanta’s top 25 commercial real estate brokerages grossed more than $56 billion in sales and leasing transactions in 2017, an increase of 12 percent, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle calculations.
A series of new real estate-related lists released by Atlanta Business Chronicle on Friday show gross sales in 2017 from the Top 25 real estate brokers jumping from $50 billion in 2016. Those are both up from the $47 billion combined sales in 2015.
The CBRE Group Inc. (NYSE: CBRE) remains king among commercial real estate brokerages in Atlanta, with $14.75 billion in gross sales and leasing transactions.
Cushman & Wakefield of Georgia Inc. was second and JLL was third.
Savills Studley Inc., Avison Young – Atlanta LLC and Greystone Brown Real Estate Advisors were the big risers on the list when compared to 2016. McWhirter Realty Partners LLC is new to the Top 25 this year with $118.5 million in gross sales volume.
Atlanta Business Chronicle also released lists related to residential real estate organizations, companies and offices.
PalmerHouse Properties cracked the top 10 for organizations this year for the first time, while Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties bumped RE/MAX LLC from No. 2 spot. Keller Williams Realty, Southeast Region was far and away the leader, grossing $14.4 billion in residential sales volume from closed transactions in 2017.
